The Theme for Nicola & Adam Barlow’s Wedding was ‘Fun’.  They choose the Lagoon for the great view and atmosphere.

I have been to weddings there in the past and loved the location. – Nicola

The couple met in 2002 at the Australian Surf Life Saving Championships in Broadbeach, much of their personality was reflected in their wedding.

“Adam proposed on Tuesday 22nd January; as we are both involved in surf boat rowing I had been asked to fill in for a crew and Adam advised that he would cook dinner to help me out. I arrived home and he had set the table and cleaned the house, as I was wet from training I showered and put my pyjamas on. When I returned we sat down to have our entrée, then our main. Now looking back it he seemed nervous, he said he had bout me a present. I assume a new dress, then we he pulled out the box I thought it must have been a necklace, when I opened the box he asked me to marry him, I thought he was joking and I was in shock so I asked if he was serious several times and of course said yes.”
